Aim and Context

The European e-Business Support Network for SMEs (eBSN) is an eBusiness policy coordination platform, bringing together decision makers and public policy experts in the field of eBusiness, to share information and to discuss strategic policy direction. Its ultimate goal is to improve the effectiveness of public SME policies in fostering competitiveness by promoting the innovative use of ICT.

ICT is the most important driver of innovation and competitiveness. However, the potential of ICT-enabled innovation and new business models is still under exploited by European SMEs.

Dana Eleftheriadou
eBSN Coordinator

SMEs are often inspired and led by peers' and competitors' ICT experiences, in pursuing their eBusiness transformation. Therefore, concrete, well documented and plausible success stories of those who dared to do it first, are first class material to inspire and guide SMEs towards a more innovative attitude.

This workshop will focus on demonstrating the concrete business case for ICT-uptake and eBusiness, through a number of convincing show-cases of European SMEs and launch a debate on relevant challenges and policies.
